This just made my radar a few days ago, but I'm really excited about it. The documentary is called Persistence of Vision and it is all about the whole debacle behind The Thief and the Cobbler. If you don't know the backstory, this is the animated film created by Richard Williams (director of Who Framed Roger Rabbit?) and how this lovingly crafted work that was effectively pulled from him by Warner Bros who warped it prior to release.

The documentary apparently goes into the whole sordid business in addition to showing off some unreleased footage from the film. And the extra cool factor is that it's getting its world-premiere at the Vancouver International Film Festival... or effectively right in my backyard.

Anyways, should be very interesting. :D

So... Which version is the one "to see"?  Because I actually enjoyed the Thief's stupid little internal conversations with himself.

I'm also waiting for my copy of the book The Animated Raggedy Ann to come in the mail.  It's just a shade over 200 pages.

As far as I'm aware only one released version exists. This is just a documentary talking about the butchering process that created that version.
