Good timing on the review, Dogstar. I was just trying to decide if I was going to go see this one as it's popped up in my city's annual Spark Animation Festival. My plan now is to see this as well as the seminars for ParaNorman and Rise of the Guardians. Wish I could see more stuff there this year, but alas time and funds don't allow for it. The last time I went to Spark I saw Secret of Kells and Mary and Max, both of which were excellent so I have high hopes for Cat in Paris as well. :)

Glad I could be of some help! This seems like a great festival. I would really like to A Letter to Momo and Crulic: The Path to Beyond. I guess I have to hope they will be put on netflix eventually. My local idie/art-house movie theater only shows about one animated film a year. Such a shame. I hope you have a splendid time at Spark. I can't wait for your review of A Cat in Paris.

Yea, we're pretty lucky here in Vancouver. The local SIGGRAPH chapter that runs the Spark Fest seems to have excellent taste. Actually I think best thing I ever saw at Spark was this documentary on Disney's rebirth period called Waking Sleeping Beauty. If you haven't seen that one yet, it's really worth hunting down.

We've also got the regular Vancouver International Film Fest as well. They don't usually have a huge animation slate there, but I saw Sita Sings the Blues one year and The Illusionist another. These are VIFF's animated offering for 2012.
