The Song of the Birds

While some birds teach their offspring to fly, a nearby boy is practising with his air-rifle on various objects in his house; after breaking everything breakable in the house, he heads outside and decides to take pot-shots at the birds. After hitting a baby bird out of the air the boy immediately realises his act and runs off, overlooking the frantic attempts of the birdís parents to revive him from his bedroom window; then later on, the birds funeral procession.
