The Incredible Mr. Limpet

The year is 1941 and the shy, fish-loving bookkeeper, Henry Limpet, would love to join the Navy alongside his friend George Stickle. Unfortunately the navy rejects him but, as he wanders the pier near Coney Island, he falls in and inexplicably turns into a fish. As a fish he discovers he has a powerful underwater roar--or "thrum"--and he decides to seek out the Navy in the hope that he can still help them sink Nazi U-boats.
