Baby Kal-El, the last survivor of the planet Krypton, is sent to Earth where he is adopted by Jonathan and Martha Kent. The couple name him Clark and, growing up under Earth's yellow sun, grants Clark powers beyond that of any ordinary human. In the guise of Superman, Clark Kent uses his powers to aid humanity, while at the same time holding down a job as a reporter at the Daily Planet.
