The Pirate King Gold Rogers had amassed a huge fortune and hid it at the end of the “Grand Line,” a long stretch of ocean dotted with islands. The treasure is called “One Piece” and before he is hung he says that the treasure and the title of “Pirate King” will go to anyone who finds the treasure. Luffy, a boy who once ate the cursed demon Gum Gum fruit (thus gaining stretching powers), decides to gather up a crew, go after the treasure and become the Pirate King.
