animated movie Make Mine Music © DisneyThe first segment was cut out of video releases, officially due to the gun happy nature of the short.

Blue Bayou was originally intended to be part of Fantasia’s planned re-release cycles. When plans for Fantasia’s continuation fell through, the short was shelved, to be later added to this film. The short was originally meant to be animated to Debussy's Clair de Lune, but ended up attached to the titular Blue Bayou. The segment - in its entirely and set to the original piece - was included as a bonus short in the DVD release of Fantasia 2000 as a deleted scene/bonus short.
