Escaflowne
A darker and slightly different re-telling of the events in the Escaflowne TV series, which follows Hitomi, a girl from Earth, who is mysteriously taken to a planet called Gaea where Earth hangs as a "moon" in the night sky. There Hitomi meets Van, a young maverick prince who had his kingdom destroyed by the Black Dragon Empire. The Black Dragons are intent on ruling all of Gaea and only in harnassing the power of Escaflowne will Hitomi and Van be able to stop them.
