Dog Trouble

Jerry is being tormented by Tom, who gets some slight revenge by putting his tail in a mousetrap, causing Tom to chase Jerry around the house... right into a sleeping bulldog (see of interest). The dog chases both cat and mouse causing both of them to find refuge on a cuckoo clock. Tom and Jerry decide to team up to deal with a common enemy.

animated cartoon Dog Trouble © Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer (MGM)Marks the first appearance of Tom & Jerry regular Spike, referenced at this point as just "Bull Dog" on the model sheets. Spike would become somewhat less aggressive in later appearances, becoming more of a foil for the main protagonists antics.

Mammy Two-Shoes was edited out of some later TV versions of the short.

Originally ended with a message to buy war bonds for WWII.
