Dinosaur

A wayward dinosaur egg finds its way into a family of lemurs and they raise the little baby, Aladar, as one of their own. From his new family, Aladar learns of the power that comes through cooperation and love. Some time later a giant asteroid destroys the lemurs' island and Aladar and his lemur family must journey across the great wastelands that have been created in the asteroid's wake. To protect themselves from predators, Aladar and the lemurs join a herd of dinosaurs on their way to the Nesting Grounds--a lush, green paradise far, far away. The herd is being brutally lead by Kron, a dinosaur who believes only in the power of might and survival of the fittest. His rule is keep up or be left behind to die. It will be up to Aladar to use all the lessons in teamwork that he has learned so that they may all reach the promise land.

animated movie Dinosaur © Disney / Spikes Up'Dinosaur' sets itself apart from other computer animated features of recent years in that the the characters are computer generated but the backgrounds are not--they're real places. In this way it's more like 'Who Framed Roger Rabbit?' or even 'Jurassic Park' than 'Toy Story' or 'Antz'. Disney claims that this film heralds a new age of ultra-realistic animation.
