Galactic hero Flash Gordon, Mandrake the Magician, Phantom: the ghost who walks, Lothar, the strongest man on Earth, their children and orphan Kshin are the defenders of the Earth. From MONITOR, they protect the world from tyrant Ming the Merciless, who, having wasted the resources of the planet Mongo, plans to overthrow the Earth from his base in the Antarctic.

In the series’ pilot, Flash Gordon has a daughter with psychic powers (showed in the form of telekinesis), while the Phantom has a son. In the final series, Flash has a son while Phantom has a daughter with the power of telepathy with animals.
