Count Duckula is the ancestral resident of "Castle Duckula, home for many centuries to a dreadful dynasty of vicious vampire ducks... Legend has it that these fowl beings can be destroyed by a stake through the heart or exposure to sunlight. This does not suffice however, for they may be brought back to life by means of a secret rite..."

Unfortunately the secret rite doesn't go according to plan during this incarnation, since Duckula's helpers substituted ketchup for blood, as a result of which he ends up a vegetarian. Nevermind, accompanied by dour helper Igor, and doting though rather dimwitted Nanny (whose arm is always in a sling), Duckula will somehow muddle through this rather difficult incarnation.
