In the strange town of Marzipan, a young child named Chowder is an apprentice to Marzipan's most famous chef, Mung Daal. Chowder hopes to become a great chef like Mung, but Chowder seems to be better at eating than he is at cooking. And while on their culinary excursions, Chowder, Mung, Mung's helper Shnitzel, and Mung's wife Truffles try to survive the zany events that happen on a regular basis.
